A Nebo man faces marijuana and weapon charges. The McDowell County Sheriff's Office Tuesday charged 21-year-old Jose Jovanny Camarena with 2 counts of possession of a concealed weapon and 1 count each of possession of marijuana and PWISD marijuana. 210 grams of marijuana were reportedly found in his vehicle after a traffic stop by the Highway Patrol on April 22nd, along with an assault rifle and handgun.

Numerous charges are filed on a Newton man after an arrest early this morning. Hickory Police charged 41-year-old Christopher David Leatherman with 7 offenses including, common law robbery, obtain property by false pretense, possession of stolen goods/property and breaking & or entering. Bond was set at $293,7000 with a court appearance scheduled for today.

Governor Cooper on Tuesday presented Medallion Awards for Volunteer Service to honorees at the State Capitol. Among the 22 Medallion Awards 1n 14 Categories:

Meth charges are placed on a Hickory man. Newton Police Tuesday charged 34-year-old Alex Steven Kiziah with OFA:BOI for felony possession/distribute meth precursor. Bond was set at $100,000 with a court appearance set for today.
