The area 'closure in place' for Linville Gorge has been lifted; although visitors to the region should still use caution. Wildfires can create hazards including holes created by burnt tree stumps, along with damaged trees, and unstable rocks. The road to the Table Rock picnic area is scheduled to re-open Friday.
