Thieves target a McDowell County church over the Christmas weekend. Authorities are looking for suspects who entered a Marion church and stole items - possibly during a Christmas Eve candlelight service. Marion Police reports state audio/video equipment and cash were taken from the First United Methodist Church valued at nearly $3000. The church pastor suspects the theft occurred during the Christmas Eve service while the church was open since reports state there was very little damage. Marion Police continue to investigate.
