An arrest has been made in connection with over 400 hoax bomb threats made to businesses and agencies in the 25th Judicial District. On Wednesday, the Hickory Police Department, FBI and West Virginia State Police arrested 27-year-old Cody Matthew Startt of Matoaka, WV. Startt was charged with felony probations related to prior convictions for making bomb threats and he is currently being held without bond and is awaiting extradition to Catawba County. According to a press release from the 25th District Attorney's Office, the investigation le to Startt as the source of the bomb threats and charges against Startt will be forthcoming in reference to the most recent bomb threats that occurred in Hickory, Newton, Conover, Morganton, Lenoir, Granite Falls and other locations throughout the 25th Judicial District. It is still to be determined the exact charges Startt will face and whether he will be prosecuted in state or federal court. Startt is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time. The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in locating a Runaway Juvenile. 17-year-old Lacey Cheyenne Johnson was last seen in the Gamewell area on July 2nd.
