Numerous Charges on
Conover Man
A Conover man faces
numerous charges after a Tuesday
arrest by the Catawba
County Sheriff’s Office. 31-year-old
Terry Kenneth Ross was
charged with Felony First Degree
Burglary, Felony Breaking
and or Entering, two Meth Charges,
Maintaining a Vehicle,
Dwelling or Place for Controlled
Substance, Possession of
a Weapon of Mass Destruction and
Possession of Firearm by
Felon. Bond was set at $390,000
with his next court
appearance scheduled for December 30th.
Rape Suspect Arrested by
Asheville Police
Asheville Police on
Thursday arrested a rape suspect. Detectives
charged 69-year-old James
Brown of Asheville with Second
Degree Forcible Rape and
he was booked into the Buncombe
County Detention Center
under a $200,000 bond. Asheville
Police continues to
investigate similar cases of sexual assault.

Wire Theft from
House
An Iron Station man has
been charged with stealing
wire from a residence
under construction. Lincoln
deputies on December 14th,
were dispatched to the
2700 block of West NC 27
Highway, where they
discovered that wiring in
the crawl space had been
cut. Damage was estimated
at about $1,000.
50-year-old Michael Wayne
Rich reportedly
confessed to the larceny,
according to the Lincoln
County Sheriff’s Office,
and was placed in the Harven
A. Crouse Detention Center.
