In light of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, a McDowell
County industry has restructured its production line.
Kitsbow in Old Fort normally manufactures cycling apparel
and accessories for bicycling enthusiasts.
For the last few days, Kitsbow has been making personal
protective equipment to be used by first responders, paramedics, and other
health care workers.
Published reports say the company is now making both
reusable masks and face shields.
Kitsbow officials report they reached out to local
emergency workers to see if there was a need for the product – resulting in an
outpouring of orders for the protective gear.
Company officials say they have heard from hospitals,
doctors, and charitable organizations.
For more information about the company and their personal
protective gear, visit kitsbow-dot-com online.
