Lincolnton Police make arrests last week after a 3 month long undercover operation. Detectives portrayed a child on various social media outlets. A dialogue was developed in which an agreement was made for offenders to meet the child in Lincolnton in order to have an unlawful sexual relationship. Arrests included Paul Robert Icenhour II of Granite Falls, George Alan Kanupp of Maiden, Blane Fitzgerald Gregory of Spruce Pine along with 2 Charlotte residents, and 1 each from Denver, Lincolnton and McConnells SC. Bonds ranged from $25,000 to $250,000.

The Caldwell County Health Department received a 100% immunization compliance rate and the county's compliance rate was 86%. This is based on the percentage of children up-to-date by 24 months of age for the required vaccination series.
