The quick action of a mom eating lunch with her child is credited with helping save the life of another child. The mom, Maricela Lopez Solis, was visiting Forest Hill Elementary cafeteria on Monday July 6th, when a first-grade student approached his teacher, Sherry Suttles, and indicated he was choking. Suttles and Tammy Huffman, the school's bookkeeper, both performed the Heimlich maneuver on the student, which partially cleared his airway. Lopez stepped in and finished the job, freeing the food that had gotten stuck in the student's throat.
