The College Republicans of Lenoir-Rhyne University are hosting a visit from 5th District Congresswoman Virginia Foxx Wednesday night from 7-8 at Joe's Coffee, located in the Cromer Center. Members of the LR campus as well as the community are invited to meet and talk with Congresswoman Foxx. She serves as the Vice Chair of the powerful House Rules Committee, which determines what legislation comes to the floor of the House and what amendments will be allowed during floor debate. In addition, Foxx was elected by her peers to serve as the Secretary of the House Republican Conference. LRU's College Republicans hosted a visit from 10th District Congressman Patrick McHenry earlier this year.
