A man who allegedly held a woman against her will for three days made his first court appearance this week.

24-year-old Daniel Farnsworth has been charged with second-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, and assault on a female.

Those charges stem from the victim arriving at Newton Police headquarters to advise officers of the incident.

A press release states she had obvious injuries and managed to escape the house in order to alert authorities.

Farnsworth allegedly strangled the victim to the point she began to lose consciousness; having tied her up using bungee cords.

She told officers she escaped whenever Farnsworth fell asleep.

Farnsworth was issued a 50-thousand-dollar secured bond.
