The body of a Marion man reported missing early last week, was located Friday by McDowell County officials. 50-year-old Gary Neal Boatwright had reportedly left the Men's Shelter a week ago on the way to his workplace at Baxter Healthcare. He failed to arrive at his job and had been missing since. The McDowell County Sheriff's Office received information of a suspicious vehicle around noon Friday on Huskins Branch Road. Officers discovered the vehicle belonging to Boatwright. A search of a wooded area near the abandoned car resulted in the recovery of his body. Authorities are treating the incident as a suicide.
