Four additional suspects were arrested last week from a drug roundup in McDowell, Burke and Catawba counties April 18th. Eight people are still wanted. Arrested Thursday were:

40-year-old Evan Saunders Lipford of Morganton
35-year-old Oakley Lynn Sparks of Marion
55-year-old Ray Jackson Welch, Jr. of Marion
35-year-old Dwayne Bullock of Newton
66-year-old William Jackie Pearson of Morganton

Hickory Police are looking for a Statesville man in connection with the weekend shooting death of a Hickory man. Police responded about 2am Saturday to Frank's Pizza/Alessio's Lounge. Officers found 37-year-old Shamar Rashad Wilson with a gunshow wound. He would be later pronounced deceased at Frye Regional Medical Center. A warrant has been issued for the charge of Murder for 41-year-old Bradley Dwayne Davis. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Davis is urged to contact Hickory Police at 828-328-5551.
