Local authorities investigate allegations of impropriety with a minor child. 27-year-old Colton James Mostacato of Hickory has been charged with disseminating obscene material to a minor, taking indecent liberties with a child, and with soliciting a child by computer or electronic device. The Burke County Sheriff's Office report states that Mostacato had allegedly attempted to initiate an illcit affair with a minor child through various social media outlets. Mostacato reportedly sent lewd sexually-themed pictures, solicited the minor for nude photos, and tried to arrange a meeting with the minor child. Working in conjunction with the minor child's parents. the sheriff's office was able to infiltrate and prevent the incident from escalating. Hickory Police took Mostacato without incident and he was issued a $50,000 secured bond.
