Burke County's Most Wanted list is shorter after separate arrests last week. Burke County Deputies received a tip on the whereabouts of 26-year-old Jesse Joe Potter who had been on the most wanted list for 3 weeks. Potter was reportedly taken into custody on John Berry Road in Valdese without incident. Potter was wanted for multiple felony arrests in Burke ranging from breaking and entering, financial card theft, possession of stolen goods, and drug charges. He was jailed at the Burke Catawba Confinement Facility, under a $30,000 secured bond. Meanwhile, Burke detectives located 45-year-old Ricky Lee Propst at a family member's home on High Peak Road. Propst, who had been on the most wanted list for a week, was wanted by multiple agencies on outstanding felony charges for breaking and entering into coin and currency machines. He was taken into custody under a $25,000 secured bond.

Shelby Investigators have secured warrants for 23-year-old Irving Lucien Fenner,Jr, whose last known address was in Grover. Fenner is charged with Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer. About 12:20am Saturday, Officer Tim Brackeen was in the area of Parkview Street looking for a subject, who was wanted on outstanding warrants, when officers in the area heard shots fired. Officer Brackeen was found wounded and taken to a Charlotte hospital and listed at the time of the press release, in stable but critical condition.
